When it comes to Primitive things, I've always loved these ABC Tin Plates. It took me ages to hunt them down, especially in this size, everyone seems to stock the small ones, so when I did, I then all. It was only 5 and coming from the USA, postage was a killer. Trying to come up with more inventive surfaces to paint on, since these days vintage wares aren't as cheap or as easy to come by as they once were. I love vintage Kitchen Scales, but I also have an appreciation for them in there original state, even the rust that's crusted itself onto most, over the years seems appealing. They don't make them anymore, of course this adds to there charm. I made a box for my kitchen bench to put every ones, sunglasses, car keys, phones and wallets in, I have a saying - "everything has to have a home, or it will never be put away". I'm over everyone leaving things all over the bench. I love this design. xx

Going to Lifeline is always fun, you never know what you might find. I'm getting quite a store of old Tea Pots, yet I don't like to paint on round surfaces.. I can't walk past a cheap one. I can't say I like painting on round suraces. It seems to take twice as long and I always end up with half the paint on my instead of the item. I'm really quite chuffed with this design. I've painted it onto a galvanised Milk Can that I found at The Warehouse. Put a few in my trolley! Simple but cute. I cut these sheep from 12mm mdf. They are pretty nifty and can sit in those small odd places, you have around the home forever wondering what you might put there!

This little Pig is soo cute. I'm all for Country and Primitive decor but I think this little fellow works in with Shabby and French too. The Pigs body I cut from 12mm mdf and the pigs head was cut from 3mm mdf. Pattern available from www.farmhousecollectables.au.com
